Radiation balloon fights brain cancer during surgery

NCT ID NCT07141732

Summary

This study is testing a new way to treat glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain cancer. During surgery to remove the main tumor, doctors will place a special balloon in the empty space and deliver a single dose of radiation directly to the area. After recovering, patients will receive the standard chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The goal is to see if this combined approach helps people live longer.
