Sound waves target Kids' brain tumors in new trial

NCT ID NCT03028246

Summary

This study is testing whether a device called ExAblate 4000, which uses focused sound waves, can safely and effectively shrink benign brain tumors in children and young adults who need treatment. It will involve about 20 participants to see if the procedure is feasible and to monitor for any side effects. The goal is to gather data to help plan future, larger studies on this non-invasive treatment approach.
