Sound waves vs. MRI: can ultrasound see brain tumors?

NCT ID NCT05755399

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study checks if a special ultrasound machine can take pictures of brain tumors during surgery. It compares these images to standard MRI scans to see if ultrasound is a good, cheaper, and faster option. About 15 adults having brain surgery will take part. The goal is to see if this method works, not to treat the tumor.
