New scan aims to spot deadly brain Cancer's return

NCT ID NCT04044937

Summary

This study tested a new imaging agent called FET to see if it could make PET scans better at telling if a brain tumor has come back after treatment. It involved 143 patients with brain tumors that were suspected of recurring. The goal was to see if this scan could accurately distinguish real tumor growth from harmless scar tissue caused by prior treatments like radiation.
