New scan aims to see Kids' brain tumors more clearly before surgery
NCT ID NCT03977896
Summary
This study tested whether a special combined PET/MRI brain scan was practical to use in children with a common type of brain tumor. The goal was to see if this scan could provide clearer pictures to help doctors identify the specific tumor type before surgery. Fifteen children aged 5 to 18 participated to check if the scan was feasible and acceptable.
