New brain scan aims to pinpoint deadly Tumor's genetic fingerprint

NCT ID NCT07405372

Summary

This study is testing a new combined PET/MRI brain scan designed to detect a specific genetic mutation (IDH) in gliomas, a common and often aggressive type of brain tumor. The goal is to see if this non-invasive scan can accurately identify the tumor's subtype, which helps doctors choose the best treatment and predict patient outcomes. Researchers will enroll about 10 adults with suspected or confirmed glioma to compare the scan results with standard tissue analysis.
