New hope for kids with tough brain tumors: testing a Triple-Threat drug combo

NCT ID NCT04201457

Summary

This study is testing whether adding the drug hydroxychloroquine to two other targeted cancer drugs can better control brain tumors in children and young adults. It is for patients whose tumors have grown back or progressed despite previous similar treatments and who have specific genetic changes (BRAF mutations or NF1). The main goals are to find the safest dose and see if this combination can shrink tumors or stop them from growing.
