Brain surgery scars reveal hidden costs for Kids' growth and minds

NCT ID NCT07342686

Summary

This study looked back at 500 children who had surgery for a brain tumor called craniopharyngioma. Researchers wanted to see if the amount of damage to a specific brain area (the hypothalamus) during surgery could predict future problems with growth, weight, and thinking skills. By analyzing medical records and test results, they aimed to create better nursing care plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
