Summary

This study tests two ways of giving people real-time feedback from their own brain scans to help them control a specific brain region (the anterior insula). 90 healthy adults will try either continuous or intermittent feedback while watching painful pictures. The goal is to see which method better changes brain activity and feelings of empathy.
