Brain training and exercise show promise for stroke recovery
NCT ID NCT07148453
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether combining a brain-training app (Lumosity) with stationary bike exercise could improve thinking skills and quality of life in people who had a stroke. Twenty-two adults with mild to moderate cognitive problems after a stroke took part. The experimental group used the app and exercised for 40 minutes, three times a week for six weeks, while the control group did only exercise and mental tasks. The goal was to see if the app-plus-exercise combo led to better memory, attention, and daily functioning.
