NCT ID NCT02656407

Summary

This study tested a new, highly sensitive ultrasound method to create maps of active brain areas during surgery for brain tumors or lesions. The goal was to see if this new, real-time method could work as well as the current gold-standard mapping techniques used by surgeons. It involved 23 adults undergoing brain surgery where this special ultrasound was used alongside standard procedures.
