Summary

This study looks at how childhood abuse affects the brain in women who experience dissociation (feeling disconnected from yourself). Researchers will use MRI scans and thinking tests to compare women with PTSD or Dissociative Identity Disorder to healthy women. The goal is to understand the brain basis of dissociation, not to provide treatment.
