First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at how childhood abuse and neglect affect the brain in women with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or dissociative identity disorder (DID). Researchers will use brain scans (MRI) and thinking tests to find links between trauma and symptoms like feeling detached from yourself. About 200 women will join, and no treatment or medication is given. The goal is to better understand the biology behind these conditions.
