Scientists scan brains to unlock why time seems to fly as we age

NCT ID NCT06349213

Summary

This study aims to understand how the brain's ability to judge time changes as people get older. Researchers will recruit 130 healthy adults, both young and older, to perform time-judgment tasks while their brain activity is measured using EEG, MRI, and PET scans. The goal is to map the brain networks involved in timing and see how they differ with age, which may help explain variability in cognitive performance later in life.
