Summary

This study aims to understand how the brain changes when smokers quit and how quickly a person's body breaks down nicotine affects those changes. Researchers will use brain scans on a small group of adult smokers after different periods of not smoking. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about the biology of nicotine addiction, not to test a treatment.
