Scientists probe Brain's speech code in unique patient group
NCT ID NCT05214092
Summary
This research study aims to better understand how a specific part of the brain's hearing center contributes to processing speech sounds. Researchers will test a small group of young people who have already had surgery to remove a lesion from a specific brain area. The goal is to build a computer model of how the brain generates these sound-tracking signals, which could one day help understand certain language-related conditions.
