Scientists zap brains to map fear circuits

Summary
This study looks at how the brain learns to be afraid and how it learns to avoid things. About 150 healthy adults will look at pictures on a screen and sometimes get a mild shock. By measuring brain waves and sweat, researchers hope to understand the brain circuits involved in fear and avoidance.
