Scientists scan brains to see how Anti-Craving drug works

Summary
This study aims to understand how an existing medication for alcohol use disorder (acamprosate) affects brain function. Researchers will measure brain activity using EEG caps in 48 adults with moderate to severe alcohol use disorder. Half will receive the real medication and half a placebo during a 21-day stay to see if brainwave patterns change and relate to reduced cravings or anxiety.
