Scientists scan brains to unlock mysteries of voice disorders
NCT ID NCT05216770
Summary
This study aims to understand how the brain functions differently in people with two neurological voice disorders: laryngeal dystonia (spasmodic dysphonia) and voice tremor. Researchers will use brain scans and other measurements to compare brain activity in 165 participants with these conditions and healthy volunteers. The goal is to identify specific brain patterns for each disorder to help guide future treatment development.
