Scientists scan brains to unlock the mystery of stuttering

NCT ID NCT05668923

Summary

This study aims to understand how the brain processes speech in children who stutter compared to those who don't. Researchers will use brain scans (EEG and fMRI) and language tests on 600 children to look for differences in brain activity during listening and speaking tasks. The goal is to gather knowledge about the neural basis of stuttering, not to test a treatment.
