Scientists scan brains to unlock secrets of Age-Related bladder leaks

NCT ID NCT04599088

Summary

This study uses brain scans to understand how the brain controls the bladder and why this control can fail with age, leading to urge incontinence. Researchers are comparing brain activity and structure in older and younger women, both with and without incontinence. The goal is to map the brain's role in bladder control to identify new targets for future treatments.
