Brain pacemaker trial offers new hope for Parkinson's patients

NCT ID NCT06919822

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of brain stimulation can improve movement problems in people with Parkinson's disease. A small group of participants will first try a non-invasive brain stimulation test. If they respond well, they will have electrodes surgically placed on the surface of their brain for long-term stimulation. Researchers will monitor their symptoms and quality of life for a year to see if the treatment is safe and effective.
