Zap and restrain: new combo therapy aims to reawaken paralyzed arms after stroke

NCT ID NCT07458503

Summary

This study is testing if a combination of two treatments helps people regain arm movement after a stroke. It compares a therapy that restrains the strong arm to force use of the weak arm, with and without a gentle, painless brain stimulation technique. Researchers will measure changes in arm function, muscle size, and muscle activity in 40 participants over six weeks of treatment.
