Scientists zap brains to map how we think
NCT ID NCT05878080
Summary
This study aimed to understand how stimulating specific brain areas with magnets affects how different parts of the brain communicate during complex thinking tasks. Researchers used a non-invasive technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on 54 healthy young adults while they performed a computer task and had their brains scanned. The goal was to learn more about the brain's control networks, not to treat any medical condition.
