First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a fast type of brain stimulation, called accelerated intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS), can improve thinking and memory in people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are already taking the medication clozapine. About 30 adults aged 18-50 will receive both real iTBS and a fake (sham) version in a random order, without knowing which is which. The goal is to see if the real stimulation changes brain activity and boosts cognitive function.
