First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026

Summary

This study looks at abnormal brain activity in people with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) who have not improved with standard treatments. Researchers will add an extra brain electrode to the usual deep brain stimulation (DBS) system to record and stimulate areas linked to OCD. The goal is to find better ways to target OCD symptoms and improve future treatments. About 15 adults will take part and be followed for up to 2 years.
