First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at how stimulating a specific brain region (the piriform cortex) changes brain activity in 10 people with drug-resistant epilepsy who already have electrodes implanted for monitoring. The goal is to understand which brain networks are affected and how this might lead to better stimulation treatments. Participants will not receive direct treatment, but the findings could help design future therapies.
