Scientists test new brain zapper on healthy volunteers
NCT ID NCT06868914
Summary
This study aims to test the safety of a new, more focused type of brain stimulation called high-density theta burst stimulation (hdTBS) in healthy adults. Researchers will compare its effects on brain activity to an older, FDA-approved version. The goal is to gather basic safety information and see if the new method produces stronger or longer-lasting changes in the brain, which could inform future treatments for conditions like depression.
