Zapping the brain to sharpen memory: a new hope for aging minds?

NCT ID NCT07560904

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a safe, non-invasive electrical stimulation can improve working memory and attention in healthy older adults (ages 60-85) and those with mild cognitive impairment. Participants will receive both real and sham stimulation in random order, while their brain activity is measured with MRI. The goal is to understand how this technique affects brain function, not to provide a treatment.
