Zapping the brain to help stroke survivors walk and think better

NCT ID NCT07236216

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of gentle brain stimulation and special walking exercises can help people recover movement and thinking skills after a stroke. Researchers will compare two types of brain stimulation (tDCS and tACS) when paired with physical therapy and walking tasks that also require concentration. The goal is to see which approach best improves walking, arm/leg movement, and cognitive function in 60 stroke survivors.
