Magnetic pulses to the brain could supercharge OCD treatment

NCT ID NCT05931913

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), can make standard behavioral therapy more effective for young people with OCD. Researchers will compare two different types of 'real' TMS against a 'fake' (sham) TMS, all given right before therapy sessions. The goal is to see if stimulating specific brain areas helps patients better resist their compulsive behaviors during treatment.
