Zap to see? brain stimulation trial aims to boost mobility for the visually impaired

NCT ID NCT07341763

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a safe, painless form of brain stimulation can temporarily improve how well adults with severe tunnel vision can get around. Participants will receive a brief session of either real or fake stimulation and then walk a course with obstacles to see if it helps them walk faster and avoid bumps. The goal is to gather information to design a larger future study, not to provide a lasting cure.
