NCT ID NCT06511544

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help reduce rumination—repetitive negative thinking—in adults with major depression that hasn't responded to at least one medication. Researchers will give 20 participants 20 sessions of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) targeting a specific brain area. They will use brain scans and questionnaires to see if the treatment changes brain activity and reduces rumination and depression symptoms.
