Summary
This study is testing whether deep brain stimulation (DBS) can help adults with severe depression that hasn't improved with standard treatments. Researchers will implant small electrodes in a specific brain area to deliver mild electrical pulses. The goal is to see if this 'brain pacemaker' approach reduces depression symptoms when added to a person's current medication plan.
