Zapping the blues away? new brain device tested on depressed teens

NCT ID NCT07185464

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation device can help teenagers with their first episode of depression feel better faster when used alongside a standard medication. Thirty teens aged 12-18 will use the device for 20 sessions over 4 weeks to see if it improves mood, sleep, and thinking. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and effective for young people who haven't tried antidepressants before.
