First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a safe, noninvasive brain stimulation technique called HD-tDCS can reduce stuttering symptoms like repetitions and blocks. About 50 adults who stutter will complete speech tasks before and after a single stimulation session. The goal is to see if targeting specific brain areas improves fluency, which could guide future treatments.
