Zapping the brain to ease stuttering?

NCT ID NCT07354139

Summary

This study is testing whether a safe, noninvasive form of brain stimulation can help reduce speech errors like repetitions and blocks in adults who stutter. Participants will complete speaking tasks before and after receiving a single session of targeted electrical stimulation to specific brain areas. The goal of this early research is to see if this approach could lead to future treatments to improve speech fluency.
