Zapping the brain to ease stuttering?

NCT ID NCT07222163

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive form of brain stimulation, called tDCS, can boost the benefits of traditional speech therapy for adults who stutter. Researchers will measure changes in stuttering severity and its impact on daily life, while also looking at how the combined treatment might change brain activity. The goal is to see if this approach can help reduce stuttering and improve quality of life.
