Zap and step: can brain stimulation supercharge stroke rehab?

NCT ID NCT07200661

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of gentle brain stimulation and challenging balance exercises could help people recover after a stroke. Thirty stroke survivors were assigned to different groups to compare the effects of brain stimulation, exercises, or both together. The goal was to see if this combined approach could improve walking, leg strength, balance, and thinking skills better than usual methods.
