Zapping the brain to regain movement after stroke

NCT ID NCT06134921

Summary

This study tested whether applying gentle electrical stimulation to the brain, along with standard physical therapy, could help people recover movement and thinking skills after a stroke. It involved 60 stroke survivors who were between two weeks and two years past their stroke. Researchers compared two types of stimulation to see their effects on brain activity, arm/leg function, and cognition.
