First seen May 08, 2026 ยท Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a mild electric current applied to specific brain areas can improve speech and language in people with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) and apraxia of speech. Twelve adults aged 18 to 85 with these conditions will receive the stimulation and undergo speech and thinking tests. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach can ease symptoms and improve communication.
