Magnetic pulses to the brain: a new hope for sharper thinking in schizophrenia?

NCT ID NCT06003036

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can improve thinking skills like memory and focus in people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are already taking the medication clozapine. Researchers will use magnetic pulses directed at the brain (called iTBS) and compare it to a fake (sham) treatment to see if it helps. The goal is to see if this stimulation can boost brain function and cognition when added to standard medication.
