Doctors test brain 'Zaps' to guide surgery for kids with severe seizures

Summary
This study aims to learn if safely triggering seizures with tiny electrical currents can help doctors better map where seizures start in the brain of children and young adults with drug-resistant epilepsy. Researchers will test this stimulation method in 86 participants (ages 1-30) who are already scheduled for a special brain monitoring procedure. The goal is to gather more precise information to help plan potentially curative brain surgery.
