Zapping brain waves could calm OCD in days

NCT ID NCT05994053

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive brain stimulation technique to reduce symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Researchers will use a gentle electrical current applied to the scalp to target specific brain rhythms involved in reward and decision-making. The goal is to see if five days of treatment can lead to rapid and lasting symptom improvement for up to three months in 90 adults with OCD.
