Zapping brain fatigue: magnetic pulses tested for MS symptom relief

NCT ID NCT06569550

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can reduce the severe fatigue commonly experienced by people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers will use a device called repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) to deliver magnetic pulses to a specific brain area thought to be involved in fatigue. Over 60 participants with MS will receive either real or sham (fake) stimulation over five days to see if the real treatment improves their fatigue levels and changes brain activity.
