Brain zaps tested to ease movement struggles in autism

NCT ID NCT06497920

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can improve motor function in autistic adults. Researchers will use repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) on 100 autistic adults with significant movement difficulties to see if it reduces overactive brain responses and helps with coordination, balance, and daily tasks. The goal is to see if this approach can ease a common and challenging symptom of autism.
