Zapping the brain to fight forgetfulness: new hope for early memory loss?

NCT ID NCT05327257

Summary

This small, completed study tested whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique could improve memory in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Researchers wanted to see if it was practical to run this type of trial and to gather early data on whether stimulating different brain areas could help with memory and thinking. The study involved 25 participants who received magnetic pulses to their brain over 10 days.
