Zapping the brain to fight Alzheimer's: new trial tests electrical therapy

NCT ID NCT07230158

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive electrical brain stimulation can help people with early-stage Alzheimer's disease or memory problems caused by Alzheimer's. The treatment involves wearing a cap that delivers a mild electrical current to the scalp. Researchers will compare the real treatment to a fake (sham) treatment in 160 participants to see if it improves memory and thinking skills.
