Zapping the blues: new brain stimulation trial aims to ease depression

NCT ID NCT07191392

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called Temporal Interference Stimulation (TIS) can help people with depression. Researchers will compare 60 participants—30 with depression and 30 healthy volunteers—to see if TIS improves memory and reduces depression symptoms. The study uses brain scans and memory tests to measure changes before and after the stimulation sessions.
