Zapping the brain to ease anorexia?

NCT ID NCT06286930

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help improve social behaviors and thinking patterns in women with anorexia nervosa. Researchers will use a device called tDCS to stimulate a part of the brain called the cerebellum while participants are in an MRI scanner. The goal is to see if this stimulation, combined with computer games and questionnaires, can help reduce symptoms related to the eating disorder.
