Zapping the brain to fight alcohol cravings

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help people with alcohol use disorder. Researchers will use a device to deliver a mild electrical current to the scalp, aiming to improve brain function related to self-control and reduce alcohol cravings and drinking behavior. The study will follow 18 participants for three months to see if the treatment helps.
